Hi all, we were just putting some numbers down in writing the other day and we have heard all types of prices for lodging etc. for when you are in Russia. Any of you parents who have made trip 1 and/or 2 if you could give us an idea of what to expect while we are there we would greatly appreciate it. My email is ddenson@kc.rr.com if you do not want to leave info. on the blog. Also we have heard of people renting apartments while in Russia. Has anyone done that? Also, did you have to eat out every meal, or are the rooms equipped enough for making small meals in your room? We are planning on staying the whole time trip 2. If you could help it would be very beneficial to us. Thanks.
EDIT: We do not know what region we are in yet, but we will probably be in 1 of these 4 regions.

ReplyDeleteWe stayed in hotels for both trips. . .I have a complete breakdown I can send you for hotel, airfare and food--2007-2008 prices and part of which was in the Krasnoyarsk Region, part in Moscow--it should at least give you a nice breakdown to give you a ball park. I will dig it all out and email it within the next couple of days. Do you know which region you are registered? That would help narrow things down. I'll email my info soon.

ReplyDeleteWe stayed in hotels in Moscow (Marriotts). But I packed tons of snacks that we could eat on the go for lunch (granola bars, cracker packs, etc) I also packed a box of cereal, brought paper bowls and plastic spoons. We bought milk there and never had to buy breakfast on one of our short trips. We really only ate out for dinner. The hotel breakfasts can be so pricey!
