Many have asked, so here they are. Our agency works with 8 regions in Russia, 4 have not been producing AT ALL, so these are the 4 possibilities that we might get assigned to.
Kemerovo
Ekaterinerg
Rostov
Kaliningrad
As always they say they are looking into new regions, but it is still slow. On the positive a referral was given to a couple for a little girl, so there is another family checked off the list. :-) Hopefully it is a good referral.
We are having another garage sale next Friday and Saturday, so hopefully it is a prosperous event, and we get rid of all the stuff in our basement. The Salvation Army truck will be here at 4 P.M. on Sat, so anything not sold is gone forever, and I will NEVER do another garage sale for the rest of my life!!! Not that we are not appreciative, but man, it is so much work!

Best of luck with the region selection! I know how stressed I have been all along with that. Soon my documents will be registered and then I can say where but going to a few "off the beaten path" destinations compared to most. :) Adoption details aside, Kaliningrad has a great German influence and is more "Western" than most other cities in the feel and culture. I have a friend from Yekaterinburg and it is a bit of a journey from Moscow. (My agency told me they are a bit of sticklers for medical and process there) and I also have friends from the Rostov-on-Don region - super friendly people. Best of luck to whichever of the four you guys go to!
