Done Forever...

With garage sales that is. We finished up a little early today due to Mother Nature not cooperating but overall in 2 days we made $403.61. Makes our overall garage sale totals to just under $3000.00. I say that is a job well done. Thanks again to everyone who donated items to our sale to benefit our adoption. The remaining items will be safely on a truck to the Salvation Army sometime later this week. They don't pick up on weekends. :-)

As far as the adoption, things are slowly trudging along, if we were adopting a boy we would be getting a referral any day now, but since we wanted a girl, we have probably another 6-9 months if things stay good in Russia. Please pray that it does.

Have a great weekend.

Possible Regions

Many have asked, so here they are. Our agency works with 8 regions in Russia, 4 have not been producing AT ALL, so these are the 4 possibilities that we might get assigned to.

Kemerovo
Ekaterinerg
Rostov
Kaliningrad

As always they say they are looking into new regions, but it is still slow. On the positive a referral was given to a couple for a little girl, so there is another family checked off the list. :-) Hopefully it is a good referral.

We are having another garage sale next Friday and Saturday, so hopefully it is a prosperous event, and we get rid of all the stuff in our basement. The Salvation Army truck will be here at 4 P.M. on Sat, so anything not sold is gone forever, and I will NEVER do another garage sale for the rest of my life!!! Not that we are not appreciative, but man, it is so much work!

No Big News...

Seems that some of our regions are doing some house cleaning. The MOE (Ministry of Education) is going in and doing kinda like an inspection is the best way to put it. Looking for flaws and ways to enhance their performance. Staff changes are also expected over the next 2 weeks. So while this is going on, referrals are not. So hopefully after the fall cleaning, things will get back on track.
